Opportunity at RBC Capital Markets
The Investment Banking Technology Analyst role supports the Investment Banking Technology team at RBC Capital Markets in San Francisco, California, providing a crucial opportunity to contribute to significant financial transactions.
What you'll do as an Investment Banking Technology Analyst:
- Provide analytical, due diligence, and transactional support for LBOs, acquisitions, and new business ventures.
- Develop robust financial models and compelling pitch book materials.
- Conduct in-depth company research and perform comprehensive data analysis.
- Advise current and prospective corporate clients on mergers & acquisition transactions and corporate finance offerings.
- Proactively identify operational risks and control deficiencies within the business.
- Ensure compliance with all Firm Policies applicable to business activities.
- Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies, and identified risks to management and relevant risk functions in a timely manner.
- Undertake other duties, responsibilities, and authority as reasonably required.
What is needed for success?
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background is required.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client and team interaction.
- Familiarity with essential computer applications such as MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Must hold Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and Series 79 licenses.
- Demonstrate strong competency in collaboration, relationship building, effective communication, integrity, and operating with a diverse and inclusive mindset.

The good-faith expected salary range for this position is $110,000 - $135,000, influenced by class year, candidate experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs. This range does not include additional compensation elements like discretionary bonuses and comprehensive benefits, including a 401(k) program with company-matching, health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, and a paid time-off plan.
