About the Role: Director, Security Solution Architecture
Reporting to the Sr Director, Security Solution Architect, you will serve as the architecture technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for leading the design of complex security initiatives. As the architecture SME, you are expected to possess technical breadth and depth across multiple security domains, contributing thought leadership that translates into architecturally sound designs. Excellent communication skills are essential to clearly articulate, negotiate, and represent Security Solutions Architecture, ensuring key security attributes are consistently incorporated into final solution designs.
What You Will Do
- Architect and design complex security solutions across on-premise, multi-cloud, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Partner with technical experts throughout the organization to ensure security architecture requirements are fully integrated into program and project planning.
- Provide insightful thought leadership and guidance on security-related topics as required.
- Inform and collaborate with management and project teams regarding any risks identified in projects.
- Champion an architecture-led approach, fostering a culture where architecture best practices are fundamental building blocks for implementing security solutions.
- Stay abreast of the evolving security landscape to consult on and provide direction for design and conceptual architectures, especially for cutting-edge and next-generation security capabilities.
- Manage diverse global stakeholders at all levels, including executives, engaging in business development and resolving operational risk issues.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key project stakeholders, team members, and other business, functional, and support groups. Liaise with third-party suppliers when appropriate.
- Work collaboratively as a trusted partner to ensure projects are planned, managed, and executed in alignment with the functional strategy and goals.
What You Need to Succeed
Must-Have:
- Demonstrated experience across a broad range of cyber security technology domains, including network, endpoint, cloud, and application security.
- Exhibit understanding of newer cyber security concepts, including Zero Trust Access, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Micro-Segmentation, and advanced cloud security.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions.
- Ability to partner effectively with diverse stakeholders, including technology teams and suppliers, on complex projects, demonstrating excellent consultancy/advisory, facilitation, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Prior experience working on business cases and a foundational understanding of basic project management principles.
- Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting both business and detailed technical requirements.
- Prior exposure to security architecture concepts and principles.
