Overview
The Director, Infrastructure & Risk Center of Excellence is a critical leadership role at RBC, tasked with building a new technology risk management team within the Bank’s Technology Infrastructure organization. The role involves establishing risk practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and transforming the TI risk profile by leading a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare program roadmap and implementation plans for executive approval.
- Build and lead a team supporting diverse IT groups.
- Develop processes aligning TI activities with regulatory and internal risk standards.
- Create and present regular risk and compliance reports to executive leaders.
- Implement processes to track risk-related work across TI Towers.
- Support IT personnel in controls testing, risk assessments, and audit responses.
- Foster internal collaboration with various TI risk and regulatory functions.
- Establish processes for 1st line risk activities ensuring timely delivery.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of IT risk management experience in any of the 3 lines of defense.
- Deep expertise in risk management frameworks, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.
- Understanding of infrastructure and middleware platforms such as cloud, mainframe, and database.
- Proven leadership skills in high-performing teams and complex IT environments.
- Strong analytical capabilities and experience in process transformation.
- Industry certifications such as CISA, CPA, CRISC, CISM, or CISSP highly regarded.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of RBC.AI risk expertise.
