About the Role
Join RBC’s AML IT team in Toronto as a Director of Engineering and Build. You will lead the development and innovation of mission-critical solutions for client screening, transaction monitoring, and investigations. This is a unique opportunity to partner with the AML business unit to drive high-quality, scalable technology solutions that combat financial crime.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end solution delivery for AML initiatives.
- Partner with AML business unit to align technology strategy with business goals.
- Guide and mentor engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Oversee the tech stack: Hadoop, Snowflake, Java/Scala, DB2, OpenShift, and Azure.
- Drive architectural decisions balancing performance, security, and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless integration.
- Identify and mitigate project risks ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Champion innovation by exploring emerging technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering leadership experience in complex systems.
- Proven expertise in Hadoop, Snowflake, Java/Scala, DB2, OpenShift, and Azure.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
- Deep understanding of AML processes and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in financial services or regulated industries is a plus.
