What is the opportunity?
The Analyst, Securities Settlements works in a team environment to support various aspects and stakeholders of the trade life cycle.
This role is responsible for ensuring the settlement and payment of all CDSX Fixed Income trades and movements in a timely and accurate manner.
The Analyst, Securities Settlements carries out duties in accordance with RBC's Code of Conduct, Values, and Guiding Principles, ensuring adherence to Privacy Principles.
What will you do?
- Work constructively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Aid in managing volumes and organizing workflow.
- Ensure all Fixed Income, Money Market, and Maturities trades and transactions for RBC Global Markets are settled and processed on a daily basis.
- Responsible for organizing and sending coupon payments to clients and performing call-backs to verify settlement and wire instructions.
- Learn and provide back-up coverage for fellow team members.
- Ensure that the cash settlement amounts in CDSX match and balance with what is booked in our systems.
- Possess good knowledge of the products and systems required to accomplish daily responsibilities.
- Ensures adherence to policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines, and ensures processes and controls are in place to minimize operational risk.
- On an ongoing basis, assist Associate Director Fixed Income Operations with any ad hoc requirements / tasks.
What you need to succeed?
- An undergraduate degree or a college diploma preferably in business or commerce.
- 0-2 years work experience.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and to solve problems using knowledge and experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft and Windows based software.
- Ability to drive to Impact.
