IT Program Assistant

Ravinia Information Technology is seeking a part-time IT Program Assistant for the 2026 fiscal year. The person in this role will provide technical support to staff and handle a variety of tasks, including installing software on desktop operating systems, setting up computer and network equipment, running reports, and organizing hardware inventory. The individual in this position will also support the team with a variety of technology projects.

Reporting to the Senior System Administrator, you are self-motivated and eager to learn system administration according to best practices. The ideal candidate will have some work experience supporting Windows, MacOS and iOS operating systems, along with troubleshooting end-user issues related to Google Workspace, wireless networks, video calls, printers, and copiers. Some experience with help desk ticketing systems and Windows Active Directory is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the Ravinia IT support staff
  • Provide first responses to employees relative to software and hardware issues
  • Optimize desktop computers as instructed by system administrators
  • Assist in the deployment of new computer equipment
  • Organize and document spare computer hardware inventory
  • Document technical issues
  • Run or compile reports
  • Pick up IT mail and small packages
  • Handle audio/visual and printer support for Ravinia staff
  • Assist IT team on small projects and tasks as needed

Work Environment

Schedule: As the IT Program Assistant, you will work a part-time schedule of between 4 to 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday, for up to 29 hours per week during regular business hours.

Office Location: This position is on-premises at Ravinia Offices, 418 Sheridan Road, Highland Park, IL.
