Job Summary

Rapid Response Monitoring is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. In this 100% in-office role located in Syracuse, NY, you will coordinate various accounting tasks and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general ledger account analysis and reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly internal financial reports and job cost analysis.
• Analyze balance sheet accounts and Profit and Loss statements.
• Identify and report monthly adjustment entries to the Controller.
• Prepare internal budgets, cash forecasts, and sales summaries.
• Develop deep process knowledge to enhance reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate across departments to optimize efficiency.
• Contribute to special projects and process improvements.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, 0-5 years of experience, solid GAAP knowledge, strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to pass a drug and background check.

Preferred Qualifications: 1-3 years of accounting experience, advanced analytical skills, understanding of relevant laws and regulations, and experience using Power BI for financial analysis.
