About the Software Engineer, JavaScript/Node.js Role
Randstad Digital | Torc is seeking a skilled Software Engineer, JavaScript/Node.js to contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable web applications and backend services. This role involves working across both frontend integrations and server-side logic, with responsibilities including contributing to APIs, business logic, and user-facing functionalities. What you'll do:
- Develop and maintain robust backend services using Node.js.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs for consumption by frontend applications.
- Write clean, maintainable JavaScript code adhering to best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with frontend, product, and design teams to deliver features end-to-end.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
- Actively participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous codebase improvement.
- Support the reliability, scalability, and security of applications.
What we're looking for:
- 2+ years of professional experience with JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js in production environments.
- Proven experience building or consuming REST APIs.
