About The Role
The Environmental Services Assistant is responsible for providing a safe, clean Ward/Unit environment in accordance with Infection Control and Occupational Safety and Health regulations.
You will be working across The Avenue Private Hospital and Masada Private Hospital.
Under the direction and supervision of Environmental Service Coordinators, you will provide effective support contributing to the operational support of the hospital. You’ll be working within a fast-paced team-focused environment within The Avenue and Masada Private Hospital.
Joining our team, you will be responsible for:
- Highest standards of cleanliness to all areas, including wards and operating theatres.
- Ensure all equipment utilised on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate storage areas.
- Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times.
- Adhere to all infection control guidelines and principles.
About You
Prior experience in a cleaning role within a healthcare setting is desirable. Availability to work morning / afternoon / evening and weekend shifts required. Proven ability to work effectively in a team structure and independently as required. Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures. Proven experience with hazard identification. Understanding of hygiene principles. Flexible to work a rotating roster with a variety of shifts available [Desirable].
Additionally, you will:
- Perform all cleaning tasks, including decontamination of beds and cleaning of Wards and equipment and bed making.
- Identify risks and hazards and report promptly to ensure that safety measures are maintained.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as required and requested by management.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
