About the Role
As an early member of Ramp's Risk Strategy & Operations, the Risk Operations Specialist Underwriting drives initiatives related to underwriting, customer risk management, and fraud. The role requires expertise in underwriting processes, data fluency, and risk analysis including credit and fraud risks. Weekend work is required with the option of selecting Saturday or Sunday.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute Ramp’s risk underwriting policy for new business onboarding.
- Build and maintain monitoring dashboards for underwriting outcomes and losses.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop risk tooling.
- Research emerging underwriting and fraud trends for decisioning system enhancements.
- Manage customer support requests via phone and email to ensure a best in class experience.
What You Need
- 1-2 years experience in Underwriting, Credit Risk Management or Fraud Risk Management.
- Experience in consumer, corporate or small business financial products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong background in customer support via email, with investigative and critical thinking skills.
- BA/BS from an accredited university.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in high growth startups.
- Experience building complex financial products.
- Knowledge of SQL or Python.
- Background in customer support via phone.
Compensation & Benefits
For candidates located in NYC or SF, the pay range is $80,800 - $140,700; for all other locations, the pay range is $72,700 - $126,600. U.S.-based full-time employees enjoy 100% medical, dental & vision insurance, 401k with employer match, flexible PTO, wellness stipends, and more. Relocation support is available for NYC or SF.
