About the Role
As a member of Ramp's Fraud Strategy team, the Fraud Risk Associate will use data to develop and optimize fraud policies and underwriting strategies. The role involves deep analysis of fraud events and working cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations, finance, marketing, sales, and design teams.
What You’ll Do
- Leverage performance data to develop advanced fraud policies.
- Conduct root cause analyses of individual fraud events.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement fraud defenses.
- Monitor fraud risk metrics and mitigate emerging risks.
- Collaborate with data scientists to build fraud risk models.
- Analyze fund flows to enhance customer experience.
- Research emerging trends in underwriting and fraud.
What You Need
- Minimum 2 years in fraud risk management or quantitative strategy.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Haves
- Experience in high-growth startups.
- Background in consumer, corporate, or small business financial products.
Compensation & Benefits
For candidates in NYC or SF, the pay range is $102,300 - $165,450 and for all other locations the range is $92,100 - $148,950. Benefits include 100% medical, dental & vision coverage, 401k with employer match, flexible PTO, and many additional perks.
