As a Brand Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for the growth of various Ralph Lauren brands for all families of business within your assigned store or territory. This role focuses on developing strong relationships with key wholesale partners to execute company strategies, while maintaining crucial connectivity with Sales Partners, Brand Image teams, and other internal stakeholders to ensure Ralph Lauren brands are presented in the most evolved and elevated manner possible. You will effectively balance creative merchandising on the sales floor with analytical sales data to meet business needs.

Business Acumen and Communication

  • Clearly understand and articulate the state of the business, including annual volume, category performance, best sellers, and in-season trends for your specific business. Communicate key Wins and Opportunities effectively.
  • Send comprehensive business recaps covering sales trends, sell-through of key programs, class selling, average unit retail (AUR), and core replenishment performance. Use these insights to identify and communicate overall learnings, best performers, and opportunities to account and internal partners, as well as leadership.
  • Consistently communicate business needs with Store Management, RL Sales Partners, and the Retail Development leadership team to identify immediate and ongoing opportunities derived from store visits.
  • Build and maintain strong account and store partnerships and relationships through continuous collaboration.
  • Execute strategies outlined by the leadership team to drive sales growth and profitability.

In-Store Presentation

  • Execute strong, well-balanced merchandise statements consistent with Ralph Lauren strategies and guidelines.
  • Implement floor moves based on seasonal directives and incoming receipts, modifying as required based on evolving business trends.
  • Walk each respective family of business on a consistent, weekly basis; make productive assessments and take timely action where needed.
  • Ensure the store maintains the highest level of maintenance standards and ensures the timely execution of processing new inventory for the floor, price changes, and markdowns.
  • Ensure the store team maintains an organized stockroom for easy product replenishment.

Coaching and Training

  • Conduct monthly product and selling seminars to create an educated and professional RL Selling Team, aiming to improve regular-priced selling while keeping the customer at the center.
  • Maintain full staffing levels and partner with the store team with urgency to fill open roles in a timely manner. Maintain active involvement in the selection and interviewing process of potential candidates.
  • Partner with in-store teams to continually assess staff quality, ensuring best-in-class talent using sales and productivity metrics as a guide when available.
  • Provide and demonstrate elevated selling and customer engagement techniques to empower the team to sell more.

Qualifications

  • Highly organized and capable of successfully multitasking the execution of in-store needs with operational discipline.
  • Able to articulate your vision to inspire others, from customers to colleagues to store teams.
  • Able to develop influential and collaborative relationships across teams and functions, both internally and externally.
  • Strong business acumen and a numbers-driven mindset.
  • Previous leadership skills demonstrated.
  • Motivated, independent, initiative-taker with a professional attitude.
  • Proficient computer knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint) and basic photography skills.
  • Ability to travel overnight occasionally when needed.
  • College degree preferred.
