Job Summary
The Quality Improvement Coordinator functions as a resource to staff and facilitates the achievement of departmental and organizational goals in quality management, patient safety, and accreditation/regulatory compliance through effective working relationships and partnering with leadership.
Role Responsibilities
Working under the direction of quality and safety leaders, the Quality Improvement Coordinator organizes and monitors quality and performance improvement activities across clinical, support, and administrative services to align with RCHSD's mission and patient safety/quality improvement plans.
- Assist in identifying, documenting, and prioritizing patient safety issues
- Collect, analyze, and monitor performance and quality data
- Review evidence-based literature and benchmarks to establish monitoring indicators
- Provide project management, facilitation, staff education and committee support
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 years of experience
- BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA issued)
- California RN License
- Demonstrated independent work and team collaboration
- Effective communication skills
- Understanding of process improvement principles
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- 5 years of experience
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $52.95 to $72.81 hourly. Compensation decisions are based on various factors including experience, licensure, and internal equity.
