Summary Of Position Role/Responsibilities
The IT Administrator, Security Operations at Quzara is a tactical and operational role focused on maintaining the security hygiene of internal corporate and government IT environments. This position extends beyond traditional helpdesk support, acting as a hands-on enabler of secure identity management, endpoint compliance, and application lifecycle hygiene. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with security engineering and operations teams to uphold rigorous standards aligned with FedRAMP, CMMC, and Zero Trust frameworks.
This role demands deep expertise in Microsoft identity and endpoint ecosystems (M365, Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune), a strong sense of operational accountability, and a proactive mindset for ticket resolution and infrastructure support.
Essential Functions Of The Job
- Implement and manage Identity & Access Management solutions including Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Conditional Access policies, and Access Reviews across Azure Commercial and Azure Government (GovCloud) tenants.
- Configure and enforce secure Microsoft Intune compliance and configuration profiles for all corporate and development endpoints (Windows, Mac).
- Execute patch management cycles to meet SLAs for vulnerability remediation across all workstations and servers.
- Maintain application security hygiene within Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including certificate rotation, application lifecycle tracking, and SPN management.
- Own the resolution of IT support tickets, manage vendor support cases (e.g., Microsoft), and minimize downtime across critical teams including SOC, engineering, and compliance.
- Support internal IT audits and compliance evidence collection for FedRAMP, CMMC, and internal security assessments.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date technical documentation for policies, procedures, and IT workflows.
- Collaborate with security engineers to align desktop, mobile device, and infrastructure configurations with secure baseline requirements.
- Provide after-action support for internal IT incidents, including user access anomalies, patch failures, and identity conflicts.

Normal Work Schedule
This is a full-time position. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Additional time outside of these hours may be needed to complete the essential functions of the job.
Education, Training, And Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT Administrator or IT Operations role with a focus on secure environments.
- Prior experience supporting a cybersecurity firm, SOC, or FedRAMP-compliant organization is required.
- Expert-level experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), and endpoint configuration management.
- Demonstrated understanding of Zero Trust architecture and security operations best practices.
- Hands-on experience with managing and resolving support cases via Microsoft or similar enterprise vendor channels.
- Experience writing and maintaining IT SOPs, patching documentation, and security configuration records.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, Azure AD, Intune, and basic networking.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to support federal contracting clients and systems.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300) or
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102)
- Additional Microsoft 365, Azure, or security-focused certifications are a plus (e.g., AZ-104, MD-102).
