About the Role

The Staff Full Stack Software Engineer - Core Product for Poe will work on building core features from scratch on the Poe platform, enabling interactive AI experiences for millions daily. This role involves planning, developing, and refining products through collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Develop interactive, user-facing AI features.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and data science teams.
  • Lead projects and mentor team members.
  • Deliver sustainable and scalable code.
  • Participate in strategic planning and rapid iteration cycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, data scientists, QA, and engineers.
  • Lead projects from ideation to launch.
  • Drive full-stack development on the Poe platform.
  • Champion user experience and maintain code quality.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help grow the team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years professional full-stack experience.
  • 5+ years with React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
  • 5+ years in Python or a similar language.
  • Experience with backend storage systems (MySQL, MyRocks, Memcached, or Redis).
  • Availability during Pacific Time coordination hours (9am-3pm PT).
