Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for translating business and system needs into requirements for cross-functional development teams in an Agile environment. This role involves gathering and analyzing requirements, documenting user stories and technical details, and serving as a key liaison between stakeholders and IT teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers and product owners to document project scope.
  • Gather, validate, analyze, document, and prioritize requirements from key stakeholders.
  • Create detailed user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Translate technical architecture decisions into actionable work for development teams.
  • Facilitate requirement workshops and Agile ceremonies.
  • Conduct impact analysis and manage dependencies across integrated systems.
  • Support QA teams with clear test scenarios and acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

4-6 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in an Agile/Scrum environment with strong technical acumen in APIs, event-driven architectures, authentication systems, and complex integrations. Must have excellent documentation and communication skills. Certifications such as CCBA or Agile certifications are a plus. Industry experience in financial services or insurance is preferred.

Work Environment & Additional Information

This full-time position operates in a professional office environment, primarily sedentary with limited physical demands. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Standard office equipment is used.
