Overview

The Infrastructure Engineer role at Quil involves designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and automated cloud-native infrastructure for AI-driven platforms. You will work with cutting-edge technologies on Microsoft Azure and use tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker to support advanced AI and data-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage Azure Cloud infrastructure using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters (AKS) for scalable, containerized AI workloads.
  • Create, manage, and optimize Docker images, registries, and deployments.
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application delivery.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, or ELK stack.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure reliable infrastructure.
  • Apply security, compliance, and cost optimization best practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and networking issues.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery, scalability, and performance optimization efforts.

Required Skills & Experience

Over 3 years of experience as an Infrastructure, DevOps, or Cloud Engineer, with proven expertise in Microsoft Azure (AKS, Networking, Load Balancing, Storage, IAM). Advanced proficiency with Terraform and strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker are essential. Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tools, scripting (Bash or PowerShell), and networking, observability, and security best practices in cloud-native environments is required.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Docker Compose and Docker Swarm.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Exposure to JavaScript or TypeScript for integration needs.
  • Experience managing cloud or containerized MongoDB deployments.
  • Knowledge of vector databases and AI infrastructure tools.
  • Familiarity with service mesh technologies.
  • Exposure to DevSecOps and SRE principles.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
