Role Overview: Mathematics Expert
We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients for a Mathematics Subject Matter Expert to contribute to a research initiative focused on advancing AI systems. In this fully remote role, you will apply your mathematics expertise to design and curate high-quality, challenging problems that support the development and evaluation of advanced AI models. This is a structured, short-term engagement with potential for extension based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and curate challenging mathematics problems across relevant subject areas.
- Review and evaluate AI-generated mathematical solutions for accuracy and clarity.
- Provide structured written feedback to improve solution quality and reasoning.
- Ensure problems and solutions meet defined quality and formatting standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to refine evaluation frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree in mathematics or a closely related field.
- Strong foundation in undergraduate- or graduate-level mathematics.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Engagement Details
- Independent contractor engagement.
- Fully remote with flexible scheduling.
- Expected commitment of approximately 15–20 hours per week, with potential to increase based on availability.
- Project duration of approximately 1–2 months, with potential extension.
- Hourly compensation: $40.
- Weekly payment via secure payment platforms.
