Quik Hire Staffing is partnering with a leading AI research client to find highly analytical Mathematics Experts. In this hourly contract role, you will contribute to advanced large language model (LLM) training and evaluation initiatives. This unique opportunity places you at the intersection of Mathematics, analytical reasoning, and cutting-edge AI systems.

What You’ll Do as a Mathematics Expert

• Design and solve challenging mathematics problems to rigorously test AI reasoning limits.
• Develop clear, step-by-step, and logically rigorous solutions for complex problems.
• Identify specific model weaknesses in critical areas like abstraction, multi-step reasoning, and symbolic manipulation.
• Collaborate closely with researchers to define and establish new AI evaluation benchmarks.
• Provide detailed annotations and structured feedback to enhance AI system performance.
• Contribute to the creation of high-quality datasets covering early undergraduate to PhD-level mathematics.

Required Skills for Mathematics Experts

• Proven ability to break down complex mathematical concepts into clear, simple explanations.
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, grading, or developing advanced problem sets.

Engagement Details

This is an independent contractor role, meaning no medical or paid leave benefits. The position is fully remote with commitment options of 20, 30, or 40 hours per week. A minimum requirement of 4 hours per day with a 4-hour PST overlap is expected. There is potential for contract extension based on performance.
