Delivery Operations Specialist

About the Role

One of our clients is hiring a Delivery Operations Specialist to support the performance, stability, and continuous optimization of the local last-mile delivery network in Austria. This role partners closely with Delivery leadership to drive network KPIs, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.

As a Delivery Operations Specialist, you will contribute to improving delivery performance across key operational metrics such as on-time delivery, delivery times, undelivered orders, and order rejections. Acting as a key member of the local logistics organization, you will combine analytical rigor with practical execution to enhance courier utilization, routing logic, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Delivery Operations leadership in achieving network performance targets and KPIs
• Optimize local delivery network framework including courier compensation, utilization, assignment logic, routing logic, and cost structures
• Implement and manage system configurations in collaboration with central teams
• Analyze zone-level performance trends using statistical and analytical tools
• Develop data-driven recommendations and support experiment-based network improvements
• Conduct root-cause analyses for performance outliers and operational escalations
• Collaborate with global and local stakeholders to align priorities and share best practices
• Support expansion initiatives, documentation, and ad-hoc operational projects
• Contribute to crisis management and business continuity when required

Ideal Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in economics, engineering, business administration, technology, statistics, or related quantitative field
• Strong analytical skills with confidence using data tools and performance metrics
• Detail-oriented mindset with ability to maintain strategic overview
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• First experience in logistics, platform business, or last-mile delivery preferred
• German (B2+) and English required
