Job Description

Role: Business Development Representative

One of our clients is looking for a Business Development Representative for the Utrecht region. In this role, you will focus entirely on acquisition: bringing in new partners for the delivery platform. You will build relationships from scratch and convince entrepreneurs of growth opportunities. This is the perfect position for ambitious starters and young professionals who want to kickstart their sales career and grow into roles like Strategic Account Manager.

One of our clients is Just Eat Takeaway.com, a leading global online delivery platform that connects millions of consumers with restaurants, specialty stores, and retailers. Within the international sales organization, you will have the opportunity to quickly develop yourself in an entrepreneurial and dynamic environment.

What Will You Do?

Acquisition & Relationship Building
  • Actively engage daily in the Utrecht region to speak with potential partners face-to-face.
  • Convince new restaurants, specialty stores, and convenience stores to join the platform.
  • Initiate conversations from genuine interest in the entrepreneur.
Preparation & Analysis
  • Analyze which partners fit the platform.
  • Gain insight into their challenges and growth opportunities.
  • Use data as a basis for persuasive conversations.
Entrepreneurship & Growth
  • Set priorities independently in a fast-changing environment.
  • Creatively capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Actively participate in training, joined visits, and coaching.

What Do You Bring?

  • Energy and strong communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adaptability.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Intrinsic motivation for sales – you see “no” as the beginning of a conversation.
  • Entrepreneurial and independent character.
  • Driving license and residing in or around Utrecht.
  • Fluent Dutch (spoken and written).
  • English at a minimum B2 level.
