Role Overview: Manager, Product Design

Questrade is seeking an experienced Manager, Product Design to lead our talented UX team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the end-to-end design of our trading platforms, guiding a team of 6 product designers across various disciplines including UX, UI, content design, and UX research. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure designs meet both business objectives and user needs in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and Manage the Design Team: Oversee the workload and project timelines for a team of 8 product designers across 3 trading platforms, ensuring high-quality design deliverables on time. Cultivate a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and marketing to align design solutions with business goals and user needs. Act as a key liaison between design, development, and marketing.
• Design Strategy & Execution: Drive the design process from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with product objectives. Innovate design processes and artifacts to enhance team efficiency and performance.
• Push AI Integration in Design: Lead the exploration and integration of AI tools within the design team to boost efficiency, automate tasks, enhance workflows, and improve the overall design process.

What You Bring

• Experienced Design Leader: 5+ years of experience leading and mentoring design teams, with a strong foundation in product design (UX, UI, content, research). Proven ability in team management, prioritization, and quality assurance.
• Collaborative Communicator: Excellent communication skills to align design objectives with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders. Ability to facilitate cross-functional discussions effectively.
• AI Enthusiast: Proactive in exploring and implementing AI tools to optimize design workflows, increase team efficiency, and drive innovation in areas like automation and user testing.
• UI & Design System Expert: [Optional] Deep experience in UI design and design systems, including maintenance, evolution, and ensuring scalability and consistency.
