Role Overview - Technical Architect - Platform Engineering

As a Technical Architect - Platform Engineering at Quantiphi, you will lead the delivery of advanced solutions spanning Application Development, Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Machine Learning. The role is focused on migrating workloads from on-premise datacenters to AWS, enabling clients to fully exploit cloud capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy AWS cloud infrastructure (VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, EC2, etc.).
  • Manage cloud migration projects using tools like Cloud Endure and AWS MGN.
  • Set up and manage hybrid cloud networks including VPN and AWS Direct Connect.
  • Automate migration tasks using scripting languages (Python, Bash) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Ensure security and compliance by setting up IAM roles and policies.
  • Implement configuration management with tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years experience in technical architecture and platform engineering.
  • Proficiency with AWS cloud services and enterprise-level architectures.
  • Expertise in cloud migration (Lift and Shift, rehosting) and associated tools.
  • Strong networking skills and experience with hybrid cloud setups.
  • Experience in using IaC tools and automating deployment processes.
  • Solid background in configuration management and scripting (Python, Bash, Java, Scala).

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to on-prem VMware ecosystems and associated migration tools.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer.
  • Experience with container hosting platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS).
  • Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases.
