Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a driven engineer to join the Camera Product Functional Test Team. This role focuses on commercializing cutting-edge Camera technologies and delivering amazing user experiences on Qualcomm’s Android platform.

Role Summary

As a Systems Engineer in Test, you will interact within a cross-functional team, collaborating with other test automation developers, software developers, and systems engineers. Your responsibilities will include developing test strategies, creating test cases, and implementing robust test automation. The role also involves on-device test execution and accurate test reporting, requiring flexibility in work assignments and thorough project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements and develop comprehensive test strategies for validating industry-leading Camera technologies such as HDR, Multi-Camera processing, and various system features.
  • Evaluate diverse technologies, systems, and devices through meticulous testing, logging, and in-depth analysis.
  • Design and develop advanced automation systems to streamline and enhance testing processes.
  • Ensure that test automation systems are continuously updated and running in adherence to the latest guidelines and feature sets.
  • Debug test failures efficiently and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve prompt issue resolution.
  • Work with multimedia technology teams to leverage and integrate common test methods and frameworks.
  • Actively study and analyze user experience data to continuously improve customer satisfaction with Qualcomm MM solutions across ARM-based chipset products.
  • Effectively optimize and manage time to meet project deadlines and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding and practical experience with test methodology.
  • Good understanding of camera technology principles and applications.
  • Solid grasp of the software development lifecycle.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, capable of tackling complex technical challenges.
  • Expertise in Python programming for scripting and automation.
  • Good knowledge of C/C++ programming.
  • Proven experience in test automation development, source code management, continuous integration, and script programming.
  • Experience with test framework development.
  • Proficiency in versioning tools such as Git and Perforce.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills.
