Summer Intern - Build Tools and Data Solutions for Smarter Vehicles
Qualcomm Auto Ltd Sweden Filial is seeking a curious, motivated, and inspired Master's student for a summer internship in Linköping, Sweden. This role focuses on advanced driving assistance systems and automated driving development, combining human and artificial intelligence for next-generation vision-based perception systems.
What You May Work On - Data Quality & Validation Tools
High quality ground truth is essential for developing safe and robust vehicle functions. As a Summer Intern - Build Tools and Data Solutions for Smarter Vehicles, you will help us improve the tools that validate, compare, and monitor the datasets used throughout development.
- Developing a Ground Truth Differ tool to analyze annotation datasets side-by-side
- Creating a Ground Truth quality report module that summarizes key metrics
- Ranking and grouping differences between dataset versions
- Detecting missing or unexpectedly removed files
- Adding sanity checks for annotation and GT files
- Developing statistics to understand and visualize data distributions
What You May Work On - Visualization Tools Using Rerun
Visualization is a critical part of our development workflow. You will have the opportunity to work on advanced visualizers for lane and traffic-sign perception functions.
A key part of this work is integrating Rerun, a modern and flexible visualization and debugging tool that helps teams quickly understand complex system behavior.
You will work on porting one or more visualizers to Rerun and investigate the feasibility of using Rerun as a replacement for our current visualization tools.
Student Background (Internships)
- Studying your 3rd or 4th year of your M.Sc. program
- Great skills in Python, extra meritorious if you also know Qt, Pandas and Polars
- Experience with Computer Vision and data visualization
- Understanding of the importance of data in an AI powered world
- As a person, you are innovative, solution focused and possess a strong drive
