About the Role: Software/Technology Program Manager at Qualcomm
This Software/Technology Program Manager position at Qualcomm India Private Limited is responsible for program management support and leadership in planning, developing, and delivering software across multiple technology areas and Automotive product segments. This is an excellent opportunity to work with teams developing cutting-edge software technologies on diverse platforms, including Android, Linux, Connectivity, and Multimedia.
You will collaborate with other impacting technology areas such as BSP, Power, Security, and Safety, driving requirements scoping, analysis, and planning. This includes managing interdependencies, staffing constraints, and schedule optimization across multiple technology teams. A key responsibility will be to establish clear Plan of Record commitment and drive prioritization, leveraging a strong technical understanding of software deliverables and robust risk management/mitigation strategies.
The role requires establishing rigorous execution discipline and communications processes, including risk management, mitigation, tracking, schedule trends versus baseline, recovery actions, executive reporting, and stakeholder communications. You will develop program indicators to manage program health, ensuring both quality and timely delivery. Partnering with other functional areas to establish critical processes will support disciplined product development and decision-making, ensuring high quality. Coordination across multiple development sites may be required. You will also develop and establish strong processes that streamline the development cycle and effectively integrate multiple plans, dependencies, and deliverables. Adherence to Automotive safety and ASPICE processes is crucial, and ADAS experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Skills & Experience
- Experience and domain knowledge of one or more of the following is highly preferred: Android/Linux/Kernel/Platform SW
- 12-15 years of experience in a combination of Software product development and program management in the semiconductor/wireless/automotive industry
- Experience with end-to-end product integration
- Experience managing software products through the entire development life cycle
Educational Requirements
- Required: Bachelor's in Computer/Electronics/Electrical Engineering
- Preferred: Master's in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Business Administration
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
