Role Overview
As a Qualcomm IT Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering Intern, you'll have the opportunity to push the boundaries of what exists and help establish the new standards for tomorrow. You will leverage your degree to make an immediate impact on one of Qualcomm's numerous technologies. This internship supports the IT Infrastructure & Cloud track. Based on your resume, you will be aligned to projects within this track.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Must be available for 11–14 weeks during Summer 2026 (May–September)
- Expected graduation date of November 2026 or later
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates actively pursuing a degree with an anticipated graduation between November 2026 and June 2027
- Practical experience developing software or meeting operational needs with code and scripting (Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby, and/or Java)
- Experience with automation tools development, CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins), source control management, software integration, scripting, and working in a DevOps environment (e.g., Ansible)
- Experience in IT infrastructure, networking, infrastructure automation, end-user services, collaboration, and communication tools
- Knowledge of servers (physical, virtual), cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure, GCP), and containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Python web development experience

To round out your summer internship, we host professional development workshops, social events, cross-functional speaker sessions, and an executive speaker series. In addition to competitive hourly pay and accrued vacation time, you will receive relocation coverage and furnished housing accommodations for the duration of your internship.
Internship opportunities may be available in the following locations, depending on team and project needs: Austin, Boulder, Boxborough, Bridgewater, Chandler, Irvine, New York City, Louisville, Raleigh, San Diego, Santa Clara, and Seattle.

Pay Range And Other Compensation & Benefits
The pay range for this IT Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering Internship is $17.00 - $98.00 per hour. Qualcomm also offers a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
