Camera DV Engineer at Qualcomm

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
- OR
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
- OR
- PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in programming (e.g., C, C++, Python), computer architecture, or embedded systems.
- 2+ years of experience in Image Signal Processing design, development, implementation, and verification.
- 2+ years of experience in camera hardware or systems design and optimization.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Leverages advanced Camera Engineering knowledge to research, design, develop, verify, debug, implement, and/or validate complex camera systems, HW or FW tasks (including Camera Image Signal Processor, 3A, Image Quality, Features, and Tuning Tools), algorithms, features, logic design, modeling, design verification, and power optimization.
- Performs architecture, IQ modules, algorithm, and feature decomposition to drive complex requirements and specifications for hardware development.
- Ensures advanced image quality, system performance, and ISP area and power metrics are met.
- Addresses customer/product requirements in functionality and results.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize camera systems, hardware, and/or software.
- Writes detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for complex Camera projects to guide users and/or customers to implement output.
Level Of Responsibility
Works independently with minimal supervision. Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group. Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc. Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions. Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
