Role Description
The Lead SME GenAI DevOps is the primary technical leader responsible for platform architecture, performance, and reliability at Qnity. You will balance hands-on technical work with strategic planning, stakeholder communication, and operational oversight.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and technical ownership of the GenAI platform.
- Present platform health metrics, KPIs, and technical updates.
- Lead platform enhancements and technology roadmap initiatives.
- Drive migrations across GenAI environments ensuring high uptime.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for AI and cloud-native applications.
- Architect and optimize Hybrid Search solutions including BM25, Vector, and Metadata filtering.
- Implement secure authentication with Azure Identity and OAuth/JWT.
- Oversee backend (Python FastAPI) and frontend integration (React/Node.js).
- Manage vector databases and implement monitoring, logging, and AIOps practices.
- Support document lifecycle management and AI conversation orchestration.
Education and Experience
8–12+ years of experience at Lead/Principal level with a strong background in AI/LLM platforms, DevOps, and the Azure cloud ecosystem.
Skill Requirements
- Deep understanding of LLMs, Prompt Engineering, and RAG architectures.
- Expertise in Python (FastAPI), React, and Node.js.
- Knowledge of Hybrid Search, Information Retrieval, and Azure OpenAI.
- Experience with Azure Functions, serverless design, and databases (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB).
- Hands-on DevOps experience with Docker, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD.
- Proficiency in monitoring, logging, performance tuning, and security implementations.
