About the Role
QBE Insurance is seeking an experienced Information Security Consultant to lead transformational change in cyber and information security risk management across its North America operations. As the Cyber Security Consulting Lead, you will conduct comprehensive security assessments, identify emerging threats, and recommend both short- and long-term security controls.
Your New Role
You will lead the development and delivery of a robust cyber and information security capability by partnering with stakeholders, driving implementation of mature cybersecurity practices, and aligning security frameworks with enterprise business and technology strategies. Responsibilities include defining security requirements for software development, collaborating with internal and global teams, conducting vulnerability assessments, and representing the security function in various project forums.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Extensive background in information security and IT risk management
- Experience in cyber risk assessments and implementing security solutions
- Proven collaboration with Application Development, Infrastructure, and Project teams
- Solid understanding of security protocols including cryptography, authentication, and authorization
- Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST CSF
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years in Information Security consulting
- Hands-on experience with DevSecOps, SAST, DAST, and SCA tools
- Experience in regulated financial settings
- Strong expertise in cloud security across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
Compensation and Benefits
This full time role has a salary range between $112,500 and $210,500. In addition to competitive pay, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, hybrid working arrangements (remote/hybrid), generous leave policies, a 401(k) program with company match, well-being programs, and tuition reimbursement for professional development.
