Junior Data Engineer at PwC Czech Republic
Our agile Digital Enablement team, based in Prague and Brno, focuses on Big Data, Data Science, and Data Analytics for clients in the Czech Republic and worldwide. We help clients develop data and technology solutions that enable them to make better business decisions and optimize costs. By leveraging advanced technologies, we focus on setting up the right control mechanisms, processes, and structures to ensure decisions are based on accurate information and resources are utilized effectively.
Who You'll Work With
Tomáš is a manager and leader of the Big Data & Data Science team. His experience stems from designing and implementing data and analytical solutions with an overlap into Data Strategy. He has experience with extensive implementation programs in the Czech Republic, Germany, France, UAE, Netherlands, and USA. In addition to work duties, he is a passionate traveler (visited over 35 countries), practices CrossFit (competitive level), and values most the time spent with his family, especially his young daughter.
Your Role Will Involve
- Development and maintenance of data pipelines.
- Implementation of fundamental analytical and predictive models.
- Support for deployment and testing of solutions on platforms (both locally and in the cloud).
- Collaboration with the team to solve technical tasks and documentation.
What You'll Need
- Proficiency in the Python programming language.
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Master's degree in mathematics, computer science, IT, or another technical field.
- Basic knowledge of GIT.
- Willingness to communicate within the team and with clients.
What's a Plus
- Foundations of data modeling.
- Experience with PySpark and working in a Big Data environment.
- Knowledge of cloud computing principles.
- Knowledge of object-oriented languages (e.g., C#, Java).
