About The Team
The Global Chief Data Office (GCDO) is a global function within PwC, recognizing the data-driven nature of the organization and the enablement of new digital practices. The Compliance and Policy function is responsible for helping PwC’s data assets be proactively and effectively managed, in alignment with global and local regulatory environments, to support the use of data in the global data strategy. The Policy team provides policy expertise to support the governance and responsible use of data in innovation and data handling.
To support these initiatives, we are looking for a data compliance and policy advisor to:
- Support the creation, drafting, and approval of both GCDO and network policies.
- Help develop and implement GCDO strategies, including supporting documentation around client, internal, and third-party data.
- Support alignment of the GCDO with the Global Office of Legal Counsel, Global Risk Management, and other global functions, developing deep working relationships built on trust.
- Provide ongoing support of alignment across GCDO pillars with Compliance and Policy functions.
We are looking for someone with a passion for data and data management, who has strong written and communications skills.
Job Description & Summary
Independently research, collect, and analyze information to develop and draft policies to support the Global Data Strategy and all functions across the GCDO. Manage and organize meetings with key global stakeholder groups throughout the document creation process, including information gathering, policy development, and post-publication activities (communicating published policies to stakeholder groups, completing routine policy refreshes, etc.). Manage the development and refresh of multiple policies at one time across multiple stakeholder groups, while routinely publishing completed content using dashboard reporting functionalities. Support territories with data-related policy development to facilitate a standardized and cohesive data management approach across the PwC network, consulting with subject matter experts and other PwC departments as necessary. Build relationships with data leaders, the Chief Data Officer community, and other stakeholder groups to understand their key challenges and working with subject matter experts to address those compliance and policy-related challenges. Continue to gain knowledge and develop an understanding of data compliance to support all Compliance and Policy Team initiatives. The role reports into the GCDO Compliance Leader and sits within the GCDO Compliance and Policy team.
Requirements of the role
- 2-3 years of experience in a professional environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experienced policy research, analysis, and development skills.
- Ability to take a vague and/or ambiguous ask and develop an approach for a path forward.
- Business process development and documentation experience.
- Strong interest in data management and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Delivering in a highly matrixed, fluid environment.
- Collaborating in an international environment, comfortable with flexible working arrangements.
