Meaningful work you’ll be part of

As a Financial Services Technology Manager, you’ll be a problem solver, helping to resolve business issues, deliver high-quality client service, and achieve operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading financial services strategy and transformation programs, particularly focused on retail banking and digital/contact centre channels.
  • Gathering and analyzing client information to develop data-driven insights for platform and channel business and technology strategies.
  • Leading client interactions to understand their business and technology strategy and operations through research, interviews, and hypothesis testing.
  • Directly applying experience in agile product and platform ceremonies, and agile development.
  • Leading the gathering and prioritization of business and technology requirements.
  • Supporting program and project management with first-hand knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Utilizing product management skills to drive product-focused delivery for clients.
  • Delivering client projects on time and within budget, using proven project management methods, and exceeding client expectations through outstanding team performance and stakeholder management.
  • Working directly with clients to integrate People, Process, and Technology (Data) components into valuable solutions.
  • Building and maintaining effective, trusting, and collaborative client relationships at multiple levels.
  • Collaborating with team members to lead and develop compelling client proposals, white papers, thought leadership, and points of view, detailing business challenges and proposed solutions, scope, risks, and dependencies.
  • Contributing to building a strong and sustainable PwC culture through effective employee engagement, mentoring, and coaching team members with timely and meaningful feedback.

Experiences And Skills You’ll Use To Solve

  • Significant experience in Technology management and/or strategy.
  • Extensive experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban methodologies.
  • Prior work experience within a Financial Services firm or an internal consulting group.
  • Strong understanding of one or more business domains within Retail or Commercial banking.
  • Hands-on experience with technology domains including Process Automation, Digitization, Full Stack Software Delivery, Cloud migration, and Data strategies.
  • Deep understanding of the software release lifecycle and testing strategies/processes.
  • A proven track record of successful project completion and demonstrated ability to manage client communications and expectations.
  • Strong technical leadership and business analysis skills.
  • A proactive and logical approach to information gathering, with the ability to synthesize complex ideas and present information clearly and effectively.
  • Capability to build genuine, trust-rooted relationships with clients and technical teams.
  • Ability to thrive under pressing deadlines and changing conditions.
  • Willingness to take initiative and assume responsibility.
  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard.
  • Ability to travel to client sites across Canada.
