Job Description
Senior Software Developer Freelance
At purpleshares.com, we’re building a new kind of platform to transform how SMEs are acquired, financed, and transmitted. We’re looking for a senior, product-driven Software Developer to join us on a freelance basis and help shape a scalable, AI-powered system from the ground up. You’ll work with a team of 2 internal developers and a team of external developers. If you enjoy building real products (not just features), leveraging AI in meaningful ways, and working in a fast-moving environment with direct impact, this is for you.
What You’ll Work On
- Architect and build scalable backend systems using Python & Django
- Design and integrate AI-driven features (LLMs, APIs, automation, agent workflows)
- Contribute to product-level decisions, not just execution
- Develop clean, efficient, and intuitive front-end experiences (HTMX / JS / CSS)
- Deploy and scale infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Improve performance, reliability, and security across the stack
- Work closely with founders and product to ship fast and iterate continuously
What We’re Looking For
- Senior-level experience in software development (freelance or full-time)
- Strong expertise in Python and Django
- Hands-on experience with AI integrations (LLMs, APIs, agent-based systems)
- Solid front-end capabilities (HTML, CSS, JavaScript — HTMX is a plus)
- Strong product sense and attention to UX/UI quality
- Comfortable working autonomously with high ownership
- Experience with GCP and modern deployment workflows
- Proficient with Git and collaborative development practices
- Strong interest in AI-assisted development workflows
Nice to Have
- Experience with Docker / containerized environments
- Background in startup or high-growth environments
- Experience contributing to product design from 0 → 1
