About the Role

PURPLE is actively seeking an enthusiastic, seasoned and entrepreneurial Account Manager, Beauty to join its thriving beauty division, reporting directly to the SVP & EVP. This new role is designed to support new business in the Beauty & Wellbeing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communications & Strategy: Plan and implement PR campaigns, partnerships and events globally.
  • Develop key messages and prepare Q&A for executive press interviews.
  • Proactively pitch ideas for maximum editorial placement.
  • Manage press events, product launches and budgeting processes.
  • Create visually appealing press materials.
  • Client & Team Management: Maintain day-to-day client communication and build strong relationships.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members and oversee client reporting.
  • Digital Support: Utilize traditional, digital and social media platforms for strategic PR solutions and storytelling.
  • Keep updated on beauty industry trends across social platforms.
  • Influencer Engagement & Networking: Leverage connections with top beauty influencers and media outlets to drive new business.
  • Assist in new business ideation and expand the influencer network.
  • Trend & Competitor Analysis: Monitor industry trends, report competitor activity, and advise clients accordingly.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

The ideal candidate will hold a B.S./B.A. in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or related areas with 6-8 years of communications experience, preferably within the beauty industry. Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong budgeting capabilities, deep knowledge of social media platforms, and an ear for beauty and fashion trends.
