Job Description

Establishment: 9201 Rue de l'Innovation, Anjou, QC H1J 2X9Shift Schedule: Monday: 1:30 AM to 7:30 AM, Tuesday to Wednesday: 1:30 AM to 7:45 AM & Thursday to Friday: 1:45 AM to 7:45 AMEmployment Type: Full-time – 28 hours per weekSalary: $21.95 to $28.78

Job Summary

The AM Sorter sorts and separates merchandise by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet customer delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from sidewalk trucks onto the conveyor and from the conveyor into sidewalk trucks.
• Unload freight from the conveyor or chute for loading.
• Load freight into line/cube trucks or trailers.
• Pre-load mail and packages into sidewalk delivery vehicles.
• Manually transfer bulky or non-conveyable items onto the conveyor.
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify mis-sorted mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload and sort packages.
• Pre-load trucks while removing packages from conveyors.
• Build a positive relationship with the team (couriers, team lead, and sorters).
• Work with conveyors, rollers, or belts; work within trailers, containers, and package delivery vehicles.
• Scan shipments accurately, count truck stops, and note all special services during loading.
• Pay close attention to operational and quality processes and standards.
• Adhere to all safety standards.
• Ensure regular and reliable attendance.
• Other assigned tasks.

Job Requirements

• Pass a criminal record and professional background check to be eligible.
• Ability to lift and transport loads weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines.
• Warehouse work experience is an asset.
