Mission
To address the tire needs of customers in a safe, approved manner using the proper tools and techniques on customer property and roadside assistance calls.
Essential Duties
- Perform roadside tire service on commercial vehicles (scheduled hours and on-call).
- Perform tire service on customer sites.
- Identify and inflate tires correctly for the size and ply.
- Balance wheels using counterweights determined by machine.
- Dismount and mount wheels using hand and power tools.
- Replace valve stems and repair punctured tires.
- Maintain and inspect service vehicle daily.
- Keep truck stocked with tire accessories and maintain clean work areas.
- Embrace safety culture and adhere to safe work practices.
Pay and Benefits
Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $40.00 per hour, comprising hourly pay and commissions for daytime and after-hours services. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, Flex-Spending, Health Savings Account, and 401(k) with company match.
Drug Testing
Mandatory drug testing for THC and other substances is required due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job.
Requirements
- High School education or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of job-specific experience.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Tire Industry Association CTS certification and other relevant training (DOT medical clearance, MSHA training where applicable).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Deep knowledge of the tire industry and customer service principles.
- Mechanical skills for vehicle maintenance and tire repair.
- Effective communication, active listening, and correct written/spoken English.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 lbs, and working in diverse environments.
