Mission

To address the tire needs of customers in a safe, approved manner using the proper tools and proper techniques.

Essential Duties

• Identify and inflate tires correctly for the size and ply
• Place wheels on balancing machines to determine required counterweights
• Dismount wheels using lug wrenches and power tools
• Mount wheels onto vehicles and reassemble tires
• Replace valve stems and remove puncturing objects
• Locate and seal punctures
• Perform lube, oil, filter, and tire services on passenger and light truck vehicles
• Maintain positive customer relationships
• Keep tools, tire accessories, and the shop clean
• Protect company assets and embrace Purcell’s culture of safety
• Comply with scheduled attendance and perform physical tasks as required
• Other duties as assigned by management

Pay and Benefits

Compensation is a blend of hourly pay and service commissions with a range of $18.00 - $23.00 per hour. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, Flex-Spending, Health Savings Account, and 401(k) with company match.

Drug Testing

Due to the safety-sensitive nature of the position, Purcell Tire requires drug testing for THC and other drugs.

Requirements

Education & Experience: High School diploma and 1-2 years of job-specific experience.

Certifications: Tire Industry Association CTS certification with vendor-provided training.

• Tire Industry knowledge including brands, designs, and safety procedures
• Customer Service skills including needs assessment and satisfaction evaluation
• Mechanical skills with automotive tools and vehicle maintenance

• Equipment selection and phone system operation
• Critical thinking, problem sensitivity, and deductive/inductive reasoning
• Service orientation and willingness to assist customers
