Job Details
Mission
To sell automotive service, tires, and tire-related services within commercial or retail centers with commercial capabilities.
Essential Duties
- Sell inventory on hand.
- Ensure high levels of customer service.
- Use point of sale system to prepare work orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered.
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints.
- Follow pricing policies for satisfactory gross margins.
- Obtain customer approval via signature for work authorized.
- Handle daily cash, credit, national account, and fleet transactions.
- Meet sales goals and quotas set by supervisor.
- Maintain a clean shop and customer waiting area to reflect a proper corporate image.
- Clean, restock, and update store displays daily.
- Maintain proper telephone answering techniques.
- Solicit new accounts.
- Protect company assets including inventory, cash, receivables, equipment, and real estate.
- Embrace a culture of safety and perform tasks safely.
- Comply with scheduled attendance.
- Perform physical tasks as required.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Drug Testing
Purcell Tire conducts THC and other drug testing under safety-sensitive exceptions due to the nature of the work.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: Associate's Degree or Trade School.
- Experience: 3-5 years in a similar role with 1-2 years of management experience.
- Driver’s License required.
- Tire Industry Association CTS certification and vendor-provided training required.

Job-Specific: Tire industry knowledge including brands, designs, treads and safety procedures.
Administration & Management: Planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques and coordination skills.
Customer Service: Assessing customer needs, meeting quality standards and evaluating satisfaction.
Mathematics: Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
Sales & Marketing: Product demonstration, sales techniques, promotion, and sales control systems.
Cognitive: Critical Thinking, Problem Sensitivity, Deductive and Inductive Reasoning, Persuasion, and Service Orientation.
Communication: English language proficiency, active listening, effective writing and speaking.
