About the Job
The Senior Solutions Architect is a cross-functional role with a focus on AI-driven solution design, scalable architecture patterns, and strategic customer engagement. We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join our Americas team (Remote, Central/Eastern region based preferred). In this role, you’ll work closely with prospects and customers to design and implement real-time solutions using PubNub’s SDKs, APIs, and advanced platform features.
You will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers build scalable, event-driven solutions, such as live events, real-time commerce, watch parties, digital health, and more, while driving adoption and long-term value from PubNub’s real-time communication platform.
What You’ll Do
- Design scalable architectures using APIs, SDKs, and distributed systems
- Guide customers through real-time application development
- Drive technical pre-sales and cross-functional delivery
- Define reusable architecture patterns and best practices
- Lead workshops and enablement sessions
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in solutions architecture, solutions engineering, product, or developer tooling
- Experience building web or mobile applications
- Strong coding skills (JavaScript, Python, Java/Kotlin, Swift, Dart, or Ruby)
- Experience with APIs, SDKs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity with AI/ML (LLMs, vector search)
Nice to Have
- Real-time systems (WebSockets, pub/sub, messaging)
- CI/CD, developer tools, reusable architectures
- Security/compliance (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR)
