Job Overview

The Operations Oversight Specialist role focuses on providing program support in a high-stakes, regulated nuclear cleanup environment at DOE EM Hanford, primarily located in Richland, Washington and across the Pacific Northwest. This position supports compliance, safety, and operational readiness for Hanford Field Office projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct operations surveillances and log reviews
  • Coordinate readiness reviews and escalate safety concerns
  • Provide strategic oversight for electrical, industrial hygiene, nuclear safety, and more
  • Document and track DOE oversight findings
  • Offer administrative support to ensure operational compliance

Qualifications & Skills

Required qualifications include a BS in Engineering/Science or equivalent and 7–10+ years of DOE operations oversight experience, preferably in nuclear or industrial facilities. Key skills include operations oversight, procedure review, and reporting with competencies in judgment, independence, and field presence.

Additional Details

This is a field-based role requiring PPE and a security clearance. Work is primarily on-site at the Hanford Field Office in Richland, WA with some remote support.
