Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to contribute to the development and maintenance of Proof's products. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable features for our customers.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with Product, Network, and Agent Experience teams to design, build, and maintain customer-facing features.
- Write high-quality code autonomously, adhering to performance and reliability standards.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance daily coding, review, and deployment processes.
- Drive project scoping, requirements discussions, and trade-off analyses.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production technical issues within the team's ownership areas.
- Improve processes, foster collaboration, and uphold best practices through code reviews and mentoring.
- Proactively create and maintain technical documentation.
- Participate in production on-call rotations after thorough training.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience building complex, customer-facing web applications using Ruby on Rails and React.
- Experience with electronic signature, identity verification, or online notarization products is preferred.
- Familiarity with regulated or compliance-heavy product environments is preferred.
- Commitment to quality and a passion for writing unit and integration tests.
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn all parts of the technology stack: back-end services, data layer, web interfaces, APIs, third-party integrations, and cloud infrastructure.
- A strong sense of ownership over code, from technical design to production deployment.
- Bias towards action and solution-oriented problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently on well-defined problems and seek help when needed.
- Effective communication and active listening skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Compensation
$150,000 - $190,000 per year. This range is for the US and may vary by location. Actual offers consider skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors. Total compensation includes base pay, benefits, and equity.
