Job Overview: Nurse Aide Evaluator - RN

Prometric, a global leader in testing and assessment services, is actively seeking experienced Registered Nurses with a background in long-term care to administer the Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) Exam. This exciting opportunity allows RNs to leverage their skills outside traditional hospital settings by evaluating candidates pursuing CNA certification. Responsibilities

Evaluation of Candidate Skills
  • Proctoring a computerized knowledge-based examination.
  • Objective observation and scoring of candidates demonstrating clinical skills.
Test Event Delivery & Security
  • Prepare for events by monitoring rosters and ensuring the site is correctly set up and cleaned up.
  • Control the test area by maintaining a working knowledge of Prometric policies and practices.
  • Greet examinees and verify identification.
  • Monitor candidates during their written exam or direct a proctor if applicable.
  • Manage the testing environment to ensure smooth candidate flow.
  • Observe and rate candidates during their practical exam.
  • Resolve candidate issues or report them to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Protect exam content through secure administration of computer-based testing.
  • Possess technical proficiency to reboot workstations and reset passwords as necessary.
  • Ensure the delivery of a seamless candidate experience.
  • Report any occurrences outside company guidelines to the appropriate supervisor.
Other Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with testing sites (regional or in-facility).
  • Maintain an online appointment schedule to ensure event coverage.
  • Ability to provide on-site leadership for candidates.
  • Foster professional and courteous relationships with Nurse Aide Evaluator Community peers.
  • Serve as a Prometric Brand Ambassador when interacting with candidates, site partners, and potential clients.
  • Coordinate candidate rosters.

This position involves administering up to 3 test days per week (averaging 8 hours per test day) at various locations within a 30-mile radius of the employee’s zip code. Examinations are primarily conducted Monday through Friday, with some Saturday and occasional Sunday examinations. Prometric reimburses for mileage beyond a 30-mile radius.

Qualification Requirements

Education
  • Registered Nurse with an active and unrestricted license in the state of operation.
  • BA/BS Degree preferred.
Experience
  • One (1) year of experience in long-term care or caring for the chronically ill of any age.
  • Ideal candidates may possess staff development and/or training experience, preferred.
Skills
  • Intermediate to advanced technical skills and familiarity with computer programs and applications (MS Office, Outlook, web browsing).
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Access to personal computer equipment (personal computer/laptop, printer).
  • Valid Driver's License and vehicle for travel to test events.
  • Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
  • Proactive, flexible, amicable, and able to solve problems independently.

Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to travel 30 miles or more one way from zip code.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per event) while administering and evaluating.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (testing mannequin).
