About the Role
We are searching for a professional with knowledge of procurement principles and practices to join our Procurement team at the Project Management Institute. You will work closely with team members to evaluate suppliers, complete basic procurement tasks, and manage vendors. Your responsibilities will include collecting and evaluating critical vendor information, understanding costs, sourcing and vetting vendors, and presenting deals to approvers and decision-makers.
What You Will Bring To The Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Procurement or Supply Chain.
- Understanding of procurement concepts and processes.
- Strong experience with MS Office and basic understanding of finance systems (MS Dynamics and Concur preferred).
- Understanding of finance business operations.
- Experience in an agile and dynamic project-focused environment, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, delivering information in a clear and user-friendly manner.
- Adept at gathering and presenting relevant details for escalations.
- If experience warrants – ability to hire at a higher level if applicable.
