About Project ANA
Project ANA is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to raising awareness of anorexia nervosa in men. Anorexia nervosa is a serious eating disorder and mental health condition with one of the highest mortality rates among psychiatric disorders. Men are frequently underdiagnosed and underrepresented in both research and public discussion. Project ANA focuses on research-driven awareness, early recognition, and evidence-based education to address this gap.
The Research Fellow Role
This is a remote internship role for a Research Fellow available to high school and college students. The Research Fellow will conduct literature reviews related to anorexia nervosa in men, analyze qualitative or quantitative findings where applicable, prepare structured research summaries, and contribute insights to support awareness and advocacy initiatives. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with team members, assisting in drafting research-backed materials, maintaining organized documentation, and presenting findings clearly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Proficient writing and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, including time management and the ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency with academic databases, online research platforms, and common productivity tools
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Demonstrated interest in mental health, psychology, public health, or related fields

- Current enrollment in a high school or college program
