IT Systems Analyst

Job Overview:

As an IT Systems Analyst at Progressive, you will be a key contributor on the Mobile Native and Portal team. Your primary responsibility will be supporting authentication and customer account access across both web and mobile applications. This role involves close collaboration with business partners and technical teams to gather and document essential functional and technical requirements.

You will create vital artifacts such as context diagrams and data flow diagrams, and conduct thorough analyses of application behavior to pinpoint issues and evaluate dependencies. This position is instrumental in assessing technical challenges and facilitating informed decision-making for Progressive's web and mobile solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and document functional and technical requirements for IT systems and applications.
• Create system documentation and diagrams, including context and data flow diagrams.
• Analyze application behavior to identify issues, assess impacts, and determine dependencies.
• Evaluate technical challenges and support decision-making for web and mobile solutions.
• Collaborate with business partners and technical teams to ensure alignment and effective delivery.

Qualifications:

To qualify for the IT Systems Analyst role, candidates must meet one of the following:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology or related discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Math, Information Systems) and a minimum of two years of related work experience designing, developing, programming, and/or supporting IT Systems and applications.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of four years of related work experience designing, developing, programming, and/or supporting IT Systems and applications, or a minimum of two years related work experience and the completion of a technical training program may be accepted.

Preferred Skills:

• Demonstrated analytical thinking and systems analysis capability, including the ability to gather, clarify, and document complex requirements.
• Proven ability to create system documentation and diagrams, including system context and data flows, to support analysis and delivery.
• Exposure to modern development technologies, including frontend frameworks, web APIs, and cloud-based platforms (e.g., Angular or AWS).
• Background working in Agile delivery environments, including Scrum and SAFe.
• Skilled at identifying and removing impediments to improve team productivity.
• Ability to analyze application behavior, investigate issues, and assess impacts and dependencies across web and mobile applications.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to support cross-team coordination and reporting needs within established delivery processes.

• Compensation: $80,000 - $113,000/year depending on position level and experience.
