Senior Communications Officer - Programmed
PERSOL recruitment is currently recruiting a Senior Communications Officer to work for a not-for-profit company, based in Fairfield. This is a temporary contract paying a competitive hourly rate.
About The Role
We're partnering with a respected, community-focused organisation to recruit a Senior Communications Officer for a contract opportunity. This role will see you leading and delivering strategic communications initiatives that support key programs and stakeholder engagement across the housing sector.
You'll play a pivotal role in shaping messaging, managing communications projects, and ensuring clear, consistent engagement with both internal and external audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver strategic communications plans aligned to organisational priorities
- Create high-quality content across multiple channels, including digital, media, and stakeholder communications
- Provide expert communications advice to senior leaders and project teams
- Manage stakeholder engagement and support community-focused initiatives
- Coordinate media relations, messaging, and issues management as required
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a senior communications role
- Background in government and/or housing, community, or social services sectors
- Strong stakeholder engagement and advisory skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
