Role Purpose

The Clinical Data Specialist prepares and maintains complete and accurate source material to support the setup and delivery of clinical research studies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure source documents are set up timely for study start-up.
  • Follow structured procedures to guarantee data source integrity.
  • Work under guidance while learning and adapting.
  • Review study protocols, supporting materials and guidelines.
  • Support sites to harmonize source documentation.
  • Manage source data in various formats.
  • Attend Site Initiation Visits (SIVs) to understand study requirements.
  • Participate in trainings and meetings to stay updated.
  • Communicate effectively regarding amendments and updates.
  • Adhere to safety and compliance regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field or formal clinical training, OR Associate degree with relevant experience.
  • Clinical research experience may substitute for degree.

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years research experience.
  • Customer facing experience.

Physical Requirements

This role involves prolonged periods of sitting, working on a computer, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Fine motor skills and clear communication are essential.
