Position Summary

The I&C Startup Lead will manage all I&C Commissioning activities. This role assumes direct responsibility for the integrity of all I&C components and systems, ensuring the completion of contractual requirements with the highest degree of safety and quality.

Position Responsibilities

• Responsible for all plant I&C Commissioning activities during the Commissioning phase.
• Directly supervises plant Commissioning I&C technicians.
• Responsible for all instrument calibrations and instrument control loop checkouts.
• Responsible for start-up I&C testing which includes reviewing documents and P&IDs, performing testing and troubleshooting on plant systems and equipment.
• Generates instrument loop check out sheets.
• Maintain updated Red-Line/As-Built drawings and documentation, ensuring that all modifications documented are tracked through completion both in the field and on all records.
• Participate in system turnover walkdowns for both Construction and Client turnovers; initiate, track and resolve punchlist items for assigned areas of responsibility.
• Assists in preparation of system turnover packages in accordance with project procedures by assembling and reviewing system test documentation for adequacy and completeness.
• Ensures lockout and tag-out procedures and all other safety-related activities are maintained.
• Provide scheduling and status reports to Startup Manager.
• Foreign and domestic travel required, up to 90%.

Required Qualifications

• At least 10 years of I&C commissioning/startup experience.
• Leadership experience.
• LM6000 Gas Turbine experience.
• Extensive experience testing, tuning, calibrating, and troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems for gas turbine power plants.
• Excellent understanding of all power plant instrumentation and controls, functions and interrelationships with all plant process.
• Ability to review and understand OEM supplier drawings and information.
• Demonstrated success in working collaboratively with multidisciplinary site, engineering staff and contracted resources.
• Ability to work hours as required, including shift-work, overtime, weekends and holidays as necessary to support the project.
• Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Technical competence (understand software, hardware, networks, etc).
• US work authorization is a precondition of employment.
