Job Description

About Priori

Priori transforms how legal teams find, engage, and manage outside counsel, connecting them with the right talent at the right price for any need. For over a decade, we’ve partnered with in-house legal teams to deliver flexible talent, a global law firm marketplace, and software that brings transparency and efficiency to legal procurement. As AI reshapes the legal industry, Priori is building the next generation of AI-augmented legal talent and marketplace operations.

The Role: Director, AI and Talent Innovation

We are seeking a Director, AI and Talent Innovation to lead both our external AI initiatives (AI-enabled talent, training, certification, and best practices) and internal AI transformation efforts across our Marketplace operations. This role reports directly to the CEO and partners closely with leaders across Marketplace, Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations. This is a strategic operator role — responsible for turning AI opportunity into measurable business impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and launch Priori’s AI-Enabled Counsel program, including training, certification, and governance standards.
  • Identify, evaluate, and structure partnerships with leading legal AI providers, and operationalize those solutions within Priori’s Marketplace to enhance client outcomes, talent performance, and service delivery innovation.
  • Develop practical AI playbooks for key legal practice areas.
  • Establish responsible AI usage guidelines for independent legal talent.
  • Measure and scale performance improvements in speed, quality, and margin.
  • Conduct an end-to-end review of Marketplace workflows to identify AI-driven efficiency opportunities.
  • Implement structured AI enhancements across intake, matching, onboarding, billing, and reporting.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to inform AI-related development priorities.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure AI capabilities are positioned clearly and responsibly.
  • Support enterprise conversations where AI-enabled capability is a differentiator.
  • Advise leadership on long-term AI strategy and competitive positioning.

What You Bring

  • 6+ years of experience in legal, legal operations, legal innovation, legal tech, or professional services transformation.
  • Strong familiarity with in-house legal teams and/or flexible legal talent models.
  • Experience building training, certification, or capability development programs.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI tools and workflow automation.
  • Practical understanding of AI governance and risk mitigation.
  • A track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and driving measurable outcomes.

You are strategic but execution-focused, commercially minded, systems-oriented, and energized by building at the intersection of legal services and AI.
